Schwer zu finden, denn wenn man bei Google Waltershausen eingibt, erscheint immer das Waltershausen bei Jena. Mit etwas Gl\u00fcck findet man dann das Waltershausen unter dem Ortsnamen Saal an der Saale. Waltershausen ist eben ein Ortsteil von Saal.<\/p>\n<p>Aber was in aller Welt tut man in Waltershausen und warum sucht man ein solches Kaff so dringend? Ganz einfach: Dort war H\u00f6lderlin auf Vermittlung von Schiller als Hofmeister t\u00e4tig und er unterrichtete den Sohn Fritz. Er liegt geduckt in einer Senke, oberhalb eine weite Hochebene, \u00fcber die sicher im Winter der Sturm fegt. Etwas oberhalb des Dorfes liegt das Schloss, das einmal der Charlotte von Kalb geh\u00f6rt hat. Aber schon wenige Jahre, nachdem H\u00f6lderlin hier weilte, verspekulierte sich der Herr von Kalb und das Schloss musste verkauft werden.<\/p>\n<p>Im Dorf sagte man mir, dass man das Schloss nicht besichtigen kann, es ist Privatbesitz. Aber man kann ja mal fragen. Am Tor eine Klingel ohne Namen, dahinter eine Gedenktafel f\u00fcr Charlotte von Kalb. Es dauerte eine Weile, bis eine alte Dame kam und das Tor \u00f6ffnete. Und zu meiner \u00dcberraschung wurde ich herzlich eingeladen, das Schloss zu besichtigen.<\/p>\n<p>Es ist ein m\u00e4chtiger quadratischer Bau mit vier Wohnt\u00fcrmen an den Ecken. Im \u00f6stlichen Turm waren die Dienstboten untergebracht, ganz oben in einem hellen Zimmer mit Fenstern nach allen Seiten war das Zimmer H\u00f6lderlins. Die Besitzer haben es liebevoll wieder so hergerichtet, wie es vielleicht zu H\u00f6lderlins Zeit ausgesehen haben mag. Hier an dem kleinen Schreibtisch hat H\u00f6lderlin an seinem Hyperion gearbeitet.<\/p>\n<p>Der gro\u00dfe Saal, in dem man sich bei Gesellschaften traf, ist von dem Baumeister Balthasar Neumann gestaltet und mit pr\u00e4chtigen Stuckaturen verziert.<\/p>\n<p>Wir hatten sehr gute Gespr\u00e4che \u00fcber H\u00f6lderlin, Charlotte von Kalb und die Geschichte des Schlosses.
